Bliss is my birthright! Gratitude is my attitude! I am forever grateful for the blessings of love, abundance, and spiritual connection in my life. And so it is. 2020 has brought many teachable moments for everyone. An opportunity to dig deep and "listen". I'm most grateful for the challenges as it allowed me to see things from a different perspective that I wouldn't of necessarily looked at. Tonight is the longest night of the year. The beginning of winter. As we slow down and rest it's also a time to look at what you want to shed....what no longer serves you for your highest good. Writing down a list of habits that don't support your growth and then on the same page writing down simple things that you want to see come into fruition for the new year. 2020 has been a challenge for all of us on some level but without challenges, we don't have the opportunity to see... where our strengths are. We can't appreciate the sun unless we experience clouds. 2020 challenged us to dig deep into being creative. So as we head into the shortest day of sunlight, I welcome the reminder that everything is temporary. It's important to schedule time to "unplug" from all that's around you and go within. With all the uncertainty around us, it's easy to absorb the toxicity. The uncalled for jokes on either side, the veiw of our california sky's, the conversations between neighbors, friends, strangers. As we unplug and listen to our bodies, we refuel. Meditation is one way of refueling. Placing your feet firmly on the ground allow yourself in your minds eye to experience the roots that take s...hape at your heels and toes. As your roots get thicker and go deeper you feel yourself being supported by mother earth. Allowing yourself to be in the present moment. Taking a deep breath, allowing your lungs to expand to the fullest, you pause at the end of your breathe and then release through your lips audibly, releasing any held stress within. To finish your moment of quiet, take your right hand and brush down your left arm, envisioning throwing any unwanted tension back into mother earth. Now do the same with your left hand down your right arm. If your sitting take both hands down form your hips brushing your thighs behind your knees down your calves finishing with your feet.
