RECOVERD STOLEN CAR AND GUN Just a few hours into his shift, Officer Gatlin located a stolen car and conducted a traffic stop. The driver and passenger we...re safely arrested and search of the car revealed a loaded stolen gun in the glove box!! Both occupants were arrested and transported to SPPD jail for booking. San Pablo will be a little safer tonight with one less gun on the streets. #SPPD #sanpablopolice #sppdrocks #onelessgun #police See more

In 1975 I became one of the first paramedics , #165, with the San Francisco Emergency Medical Service. Back then I worked a great deal out of Alemany Emergency ...Hospital on Onondaga, but really throughout San Francisco. The Emergency Medical Service, was later incorporated into the San Francisco Fire Department. On my first day on the job, I reported to Central Emergency on Ivy Street, the alley behind 101 Grove Street. Within a few minutes an overdose in the Tenderloin. We were assigned one of the old ambulances like in the photo, manual transmisson, operate siren with your left foot also, as you learned to drive through traffic with an ambulance the size of a bread truck, going up Jones Street, Code 3.

A friend sent me this article. I never knew about punk rock gangs, mostly in LA in the mid '80's. I quit working on co-producing punk rock shows in '82. I work...ed on shows with Black Flag, The Germs, The Adolescents, and T.S.O.L that are mentioned. But early in their careers. Actually The Germs had broken up in '80 or '81 so not sure why they were mentioned besides their shows being pretty rowdy. The only thing I saw changing, at least in NorCal, I went to some shows in the mid '80's, their were usually a few Nazi Skinheads causing problems. But not aware of any murders in the mosh pit. Anybody remember this weird part of punk rock history that seems to have fucked up the LA scene. See more
