It's official Bismark Tax settles $155,576 for a total of $500. That's right and not a typo! A huge win for the client and another great success story for the company. Thank you for the referrals and positive feedback.

I hope everyone had a very good Christmas. Bismark Tax helped someone last week with a great gift. A client came in with an assessment from the California Franchise Tax Board of $34,719.34. The client was having no luck and the assessment was about to become final. Our new Attorney Jason P. was able to argue to the State why the client should not have a filing requirement and the State submitted. That means we knocked out that $34k into a zero balance or no-filing requirement. A huge present for the client this holiday!

Today Bismark Tax welcomes a new attorney: Associate Attorney: Jason Peart, Esq. Jason Peart is an Associate Attorney with Bismark Tax, Inc. After graduating from Columbia University with a B.A. in History, Jason pursued a law degree at the University of San Francisco. While attending USF, he held internships at the San Francisco Public Defender’s Office and The Nature Conservancy. He also worked consecutive semesters as a teaching assistant for his law school’s first-year Cr...iminal Law and Property Law courses. Upon receiving his law degree, Jason moved back to Los Angeles to pursue an LL.M. in Taxation from Loyola Law School. He interned for the Internal Revenue Service (Office of Chief Counsel), and also served as a Volunteer Attorney with the Board of Equalization’s Tax Appeals Assistance Clinic. After completing his tenure with the government, Jason took a position as a tax associate with the accounting firm SingerLewak. As a member of the firm’s State and Local Tax Department, he expanded his tax research skill set, which previously focused on the legal issues of individuals, to include more complex business entities. He also worked tirelessly to secure various tax credits and incentives for the firm's numerous business clients. Now that he has joined the Bismark Tax team, Jason is excited to use his public and private sector experience to assist clients with their tax resolution and business planning needs.
