We’re not traveling a lot these days, but we’re still handling a lot of baggage. Biscayne’s way we decided to make these luggage benches.

Process, parts preparation and production planning are key factors for building a quality product on time. Here is an example of an upholstery project waiting for the delivery of COM (fabric). This way we can assemble and ship furniture out in the most efficient manner.

Here is a solid block of wood that will be made into a side table. Wood is a live material and will naturally crack over time, so the goal is to minimize the amount of major cracking. Can anyone guess what the numbers in white chalk are for?

So here is what happens: Someone thinks about a design for a product > Then BH CADS the item for client review > Kiln dry the wood > BH manages all the details for finish and hardware > Then BH creates a full size model of the piece to ensure all is engineered well > Cut the wood... Sand the wood... Assemble the pieces... Sand the wood... Finish... Sand... Finish, Sand, Finish... Topcoat... Final Quality Control Check... After all this if the product shows up damaged, what a waste of effort and resource. Here at BH we take just as much care in our packaging as we do as we do building our product. This way our products shows up damage free.

Process + procedure create project success. Although we take our work seriously, we don't always have to be serious. Our production team in Indonesia (Ardian, Dian, and Krisnoto, with help from Erwin and Daniel) ensure that we inspect what we expect. Biscayne is a trusted manufacturer of custom case goods, soft seating, and metal work.

Biscayne Hospitality has several up-and-coming engineers among our team members' kids. Introducing the Biscayne Hospitality Robot [disclaimer: not quite in production yet]. But just like a robot, we are process-oriented and purposeful from our production to client service!
