This weekend marks the first rugby game for the Biola Eagles! We will be going to take on the Westmont Warriors at 12pm. Come support and send lots of prayers for our players.

We at Biola Rugby congratulate our President @bruceryanjoseph and Vice President @rpekary on graduating today! Having each spent 4 years with our team, we thank both Joey and Ruben for the dedication they have displayed in helping our team and the game of rugby develop. As they enter their respective fields, we ask for God’s guidance and blessing upon their lives as they continue to walk in His ways. ... On a side note, I’d like to extend a thank you to all the men I have played with all these years. These brothers have helped me develop into the person I am today. It was weird for me, as someone who came from Hong Kong, to adjust to the American ways of life, but rugby was something that I knew. These men took me in, allowed me to join the team and play the game I love. I grew in understanding of rugby, America, and most importantly, what it meant to be brothers in Christ. While it is hard to say goodbye, I look forward to seeing how this team develops and continues to glorify God. Thank you to all the friends, family and fans who have supported us through all these years, and we hope you continue to do so in the near future. Moses Sambo was a friend to many of us who were on the team. He constantly supported us, giving encouraging remarks and came out to cheer us on when we played. The love of the game of rugby was evident in his desire to see us succeed. It was a great tragedy when he passed away in the fall of 2017. Many of us here at Biola Rugby were heartbroken at the news. So on this day, which would have been his 25th birthday, we ask all of you to keep his family in your prayers. We miss him, but we know he is home with our Heavenly Father. Spartan RFC of CBU (@rugby_spartans ) are your 2nd Annual Biola Rugby 7’s Champions! They edge out your hometown heroes 19-12 in a thrilling final to hoist the Cantu Cup! ... We at Biola Rugby just want to thank all of the teams and fans who came out today. It was a great tournament, and we hope you guys had as much fun as we did.
