CVI Families - Many of us have visited West Coast Sporting Goods for or gear over the years. Sounds like the lack of baseball has hit them hard and they’re... in trouble. If you need any gear or have been waiting to buy, you can buy it now to help out & support them. Info from a family: I'm sending out a call of support! I'm sure all of you are familiar with West Coast Sports in San Leandro, one of the last family-run sporting goods store (3 generations!) that might not survive the Coronavirus pandemic. Even though stores like Sports Basement are allowed to stay open during this time(clothes, food?), West Coast is not. Jeff, 3rd generation, is manning the store Monday through Friday by himself, fighting off creditors and sporting goods manufacturers. March through May are the store’s busiest and most profitable time of the year, and now they're stuck with an overload of merchandise they can't sell or send back. The good news is, we can help. If you call, you can purchase anything via credit card and then let Jeff know when you'll be stopping by to pick it up. Call when you've arrived and he'll bring it outside for you. If it's an item that needs to be tried on for size, then he'll be willing to let you into the store to try on different sizes, such as I did this last Thursday. This is a wonderful family that needs our help. Thanks!
