Billing Boats USA 19.10.2021

We've been out of stock on this very popular ship modeling accessory for a while now. We just weren't able to get any from the manufacturer. That is until this week... Yes, the Billing Boats' Building Slip is finally back in stock! And while we received a good supply of them, people have been waiting for this item and we expect these to go pretty quickly. Hopefully, we have enough on hand now to keep us supplied for a little while.

It's a Perfect Storm! A BRAND NEW VERSION of the Large Andrea Gail kit is now in stock! This is a big 1/30-scale kit designed for static display or RC operation. The kit features a wooden hull using laser-cut parts, and measures just over 28" long. This is different from the old verion (BB526), which featured an ABS plastic hull. This new version is listed as BB726, and is slightly lower in price than the old one.

Part 8 of the build log on building Billing Boats kit 200, the fishing boat Dana, continues construction with the bollards, bitts, and stern platform. The model is coming along, and rumor has it that it will make an appearance at the local IPMS (International Plastic Modelers Society) show in San Jose in a few weeks.

The 6th part of the Dana Fishing Boat build has been posted. Again, this is a slight modification of the out-of-the-box build of this kit. Builders of this relatively inexpensive, entry-level kit may find some information here that will help with their own builds. If you'd like to get this kit and build along with, we have them in stock here: https://www.billingboatsusa.com//36-200-dana-fishing-boat.

This is a model of a Danish "Seiner" fishing boat. The boat is an english that was popular with many fishermen of the Faroes and was used by those of Iceland, Norway, and of West Jutland. The kit is called the FD10 and is desiged for the "Advanced Beginner". This kit is from Billing Boats' 600 Series, which means that the hull is plank-on-bulkhead, built in 2 parts on a flat board. This assures a solid construction and no twists. The two halves are merged for a perfect fit. ...The completed model measures 27-12" long and almost 22-1/2" tall. This is a wooden model kit with all main structural parts laser cut. Wood strips for planking, wood dowels for the masts and spars. Fittings included are wood, brass, and plastic. Also includes rigging thread and material for the sails. https://www.billingboatsusa.com//72-701-fd-10-yawl-arnanes
