To help prevent the spread of COVID-19, Monterey County has issued a Shelter In Place order until at least April 8, 2020. To comply with this order, we have temporarily suspended all non-essential aspects of our business. Though we are not currently offering tours and hourly rentals, we have received approval from the Monterey County Health Department to still service the community’s eBikes, and to still provide bikes and eBikes to our multi-day renters. So, for those o...f you who’ve called, hoping you can still rent an eBike from us as an alternative to public transportation, the answer is, Yes. Our fleet of over 100 eBikes is being repurposed as alternative transportation for itinerant nurses, military families, and long-time residents who want a car alternative....but really badly don’t want to ride the bus right now. With rates as low as $90 per month we hope to help fill a need during this time. We are also offering a 10% military and medical-personnel discount. All multi-day rentals will be by appointment only. We have sanitized our entire fleet and will be keeping the shop closed, so we can make sure the bikes stay clean. After you reserve your bikes, call ahead to make an appointment. We will have your bikes ready on our porch, along with a clean helmet, locks, chargers, and new gloves. And if you’re in need of eBike repairs or maintenance, we will gladly take your bike in. Just call ahead to make sure someone is available.

We've been booking out early, and getting everyone set up at 11 a.m. has been a juggling act. So we're now opening at 10 a.m. to more effectively check everyone in. If you've already made an 11 a.m. reservation, feel free to arrive early. Parking at Pfeiffer Big Sur State Park opens at 9 a.m., so it's easy to get here between 10-11 a.m.

Thanks for all the word-of-mouth support everyone! We had over two dozen people head down the coast on e-bikes today. Kind of caught me by surprise. We've got quite a few more locals & Post Ranch guests heading out tomorrow. After that, a long break while we go on vacation, then set up shop at our new BSA hut at Loma Vista. ... Grand opening July 1!

Managed to slip in and out over Nacimiento to haul in a dozen RadRovers! Little Jeepy was slow climbing the hills, but still caught up with the tourist convoy.
