Rich here. I just got registered for Rocky Mountain Race Week 1.0 along with the Summit Racing MidWest Drags so definitely no time to waste on getting my turd going. Any help will be appreciated. Game on!
There is something special about any race Brian calls from the tower. Even better that this is sportsman racing with cars that look like cars. Enjoy!
Another BHR project getting some love. 1962 F100 unibody is back with 2007 Crown Vic P71 front suspension and 8.8 on leafs so I can still use the truck to tow for track days. The 6.0/ 4L80 drivetrain is set in on Outcast AutoWorks CV LS engine mounts and Dirty Dingo Motorsports C10 trans crossmember. Both worked perfectly along with the c-notches from 1st Try Engineering. Thanks to my friend Larry at Bulldog Powder Co. & Fab for handling the work and doing a great job at a reasonable price. His work helped me stay focused on the Mustang while still making some progress on the truck.
Haha when I laid it out to protect the engine the smokey smell got me.
As you know we are strong safety advocates. We are dealers for Impact and can help with solutions for fast street cars. You can also check out several of the Real Tuners Radio Podcasts where we have had industry experts on to discuss all aspects in in-car and individual safety equipment. We all have HANS or similar head and neck restraints. Do you?
Had to share this one.
Hey folks, I just got back from a business trip walking around a factory where they make big green Combine Harvesters. Waiting for me were a couple boxes. Here’s what was in them. Mac Fab Beadlocks
This question comes up a lot in the BBF community when looking at head swaps to the newer FRPP Covra Jet and Kaase/ P-51 and SR-71 heads. So no, the pistons in your ancient shortblock for the original Cobra Jet (cast in logo) heads won’t work with the newer heads. Many thanks to Charlie Evans for this post.
I’ve been teasing things about my Mustangs new power plant here and there but it has gone much slower than I anticipated. I’m still waiting on a few things but also have a to do list that grows every time I mark things off. I decided to share something I’ve been holding onto that isn’t performance oriented but is a cool change as the car has been roughly the same since 2004. Just before I had HotRods by Havliks custom build some trick headers in my challenging engine compartment, I got in touch with Larry Reed at Bulldog Powder Co. & Fab and he did a great job powder coating my wheels. It really changed the look and now I don’t have to polish those big ass rims anymore haha.
Sorry folks, my phone battery is dying fast but they are moving into a second round of passes so every class has run once. Follow our friends at BangShift.com for the official Live feed tonight and the rest of the week. Also you can’t forget 1320Video.com is posting daily full video updates which are always awesome.
Poison Gas and Barnyard Viper.
A few more car pix Raceweek 2.0.
