The American Legion & Ladies Auxiliary of Post 584 are happy to present an Anytime Season Pass to Michael B. He’s been battling cancer, gone through chemo and it is in remission. He says thank you and can’t wait to get back to the mountain! We’re glad to help him out.

Today, Heaven has another Angel. One of our Ladies Auxiliary sons passed away. Our prayers are being sent for the whole family and everyone who’s life he touched. We are one family.

Saturday Night Dinner on 12/5 @ Post 584 will be Pork Tenderloin stuffed with a Serrano Chili topped with a special Vodka Wasabi Sauce, Tri-Ti slathered in mustard, rolled in rock salt and seared on the bbq, Green Beans with Mac n cheese for only $10, starting at 3 pm. Karaoke with Manolo will begin at 4 pm. The food will be delicious and the karaoke will be fun, so we look forward to seeing you here!

The American Legion Post 584 in Big Bear Lake is holding a Christmas Toy Drive, as part of a collaborative with other nonprofits in the valley. We’re asking for unwrapped toys valued under $10 to be dropped off at the Post. Happy Holidays to all!

On this date in history, the United States Navy was born; 1775 - The Continental Congress votes for two vessels to be fitted out and armed with 10 carriage guns..., a proportional number of swivel guns, and crews of 80 then sent out on a cruise of three months to intercept transports carrying munitions and stores to the British army in America. This legislation, out of which the Continental Navy grew, constitutes the birth of the U.S. Navy. Happy Birthday NAVY !!!
