Big River R.V. Park

Big River is cancelling Sudden Link, reason being is their very poor service! Both for the cable and the free Wi-Fi. We are switching to Direct TV, hopefully this problem will change. Stop by the office and pick up your new channel guides. Those that have their own private Wi-Fi with Sudden Link will need to switch providers. To avoid service interruption on your private Wi-Fi please call Viasat at 855-338-3294 and get set up, they are a satellite service. We are also l...ooking into another private Wi-Fi provider but don’t have an answer back from them as of yet. As soon as we hear we will share the info. We are still offering the free Wi-Fi throughout the park with better speed and service Cable T.V. boxes will not be necessary any longer, they are the property of Sudden Link so please drop them off at the Big River office with your site and name ASAP. Sorry for the inconvenience and hopefully we all will be much happier. Changeover is scheduled for Mon 12/28/2020, you will lose service for an hour or two on that date for the changeover. We also need to reinforce the NO GUESTS , we don't like it anymore then you all do but we don't want to get Big River closed so please work with us, and only registered guests in the park. Big River would like to wish everyone a very Happy Thanksgiving! This year is a little different for us all.Stay safe and enjoy your family if you can. The office will be closed but will re open on Friday. If you have an emergency please call and let us know.

Good Morning! The weather is cooling off and I just want to remind all of our guests we have coffee in the lobby for you. Just remember to wear your mask while making a cup.. but stop by say good morning to Cynthia and enjoy!

Big River is looking forward to having the snowbirds start to arrive, and we are ready! We are open for as long as you want to stay, no restraints on the length just no guest are allowed due to the Safer at Home resolution from CRIT. The weather is nice and the park looks great. We undated our Wifi last year with all new boosters and added additional ones as well. Big River is a fantastic place to be if you work from home or for the kids to login for school. Call... the office at (760) 665-9359 to get your reservation in. As a reminder masks must be worn at all times.

We are enforcing the mask and no guest rule as per the CRIT requirements, but I am posting a reminder of the BIG RIVER rules as well. We have had some questions regarding the grass and parking/storage as well as some others. Everyone receives a copy of this upon arrival.

Just as a reminder .. NO GUESTS are allowed!! We find out your breaking this and you will be leaving along with your guest. This is CRIT mandated and we will enforce it. Lets work together.. we all want to keep Big River open! AND Masks must be worn. When arriving at the park you signed the "safer at home" agreement and we are no different from anywhere else... masks must be worn, if you need one we have them avail at the office.

We are so excited to have Mike Mitchell as our new camp host! He is in site 18 and avail after hours for emergency needs, and helping late guests find there site. Thank you Mike and welcome to our team!

We just got notice, CRIT has extended the Stay at Home Order until June 30th. Unfortunately this is out of our control and we are just as upset about it as you all are.

5/29 UPDATE" We have heard no word from CRIT, we have heard they had a meeting this week, but we have not been told the outcome of it. 5/26 UPDATE: We have no updates as of today, we still have not heard any response from our letter and no updates from CRIT. 5/15 UPDATE: Sorry to say no updates as we have not heard anything from CRIT as to our letter yet. As soon as we hear or know anything we will let everyone know. Thank you!! ... 5/11 UPDATE: As of this morning we still have not heard back from CRIT, 5/6 UPDATE: Alan did meet with Chance and Chance has forwarded this to upper management for a decision they (Council/or AG) will be in contact with us. As soon as we hear we will update and let everyone know. I know you are as anxious as we are to hear. We are trying to work with CRIT and get some of the restrictions lifted. Alan has a meeting with Chance on Wed 5/6 and we have sent them the attached letter.

CRIT has extended the stay in order until May 31,2020 IMPORTANT REMINDER!! CRIT has us on a lock down, NO new guest and NO visitors allowed in the park. This also means for our yearly guests no traveling back and forth, if this is not your perm residence you will not be allowed in the park! Current guests may leave as needed for necessities however if you check out you will not be allowed back in until the order is lifted. We will keep you all updated as soon as we know if something changes.

Please note CRIT has shut down the River and beaches. Therefore we have closed out boat launch and beach area until further notice. As we get updates we will keep you informed.
