Due to the impending Public Safety Power Shutdown by PG&E this evening, all schools in the district will be closed on Monday, October 26. There will be NO dista...nce learning or independent study tomorrow. There will also be no school for the SDC programs at Wasuma or OCI on Monday. Exact PSPS and weather conditions continue to change and are being constantly monitored by district officials, in conjunction with PG&E, Madera County Sheriff's Department, and other officials. We are hopeful for a full return as soon as possible. We will notify all district stakeholders on Monday regarding the status of school for Tuesday and beyond. Again, all schools and programs are closed on Monday, October 20, due to the upcoming PSPS event. Closures include Wasuma, Fresno Flats Community Day School, OES, OCI, and the Bass Lake Independent Study School program.
BGC Oakhurst is opening soon as a Learning Lab!! We will assist members with distant learning and provide fun based programs. To secure your child's spot please visit OakhurstBGC.org or e-mail [email protected]
We would like to recognize Cheryce Chartier and Pak & Page in Oakhurst for their continued support of the Club! Pak & Page has not only stepped up to donate items to members during our Back 2 School supply events and our Christmas at the Club toy giveaways but they have continued to donate as a Diamond supporter for over 14 months consecutively!!! Without the support of community businesses and members like Cheryce, Boys & Girls Club of Oakhurst would not be able to impact over 400 youth per year! Thank you to Pak & Page for putting mountain youth first!
Interviews start this Wednesday, apply now!

Announcement for September 17th & 18th
Dear Yosemite Unified Families: Thank you for your patience and understanding with school closures for the Creek Fire. While most evacuation orders are lifted,... many of our staff and students are still under evacuation warnings. Additionally, the air quality prevents staff from working on campus. At the same time there are many students who are anxious to get back into the routine of school. As a way to meet this range of needs, the district will remain closed through Friday, but all teachers that are able to connect to the internet will update their Google Classroom with review and enrichment work and schedule a check in meeting with their class. These are not mandatory for students. If students can not attend, they will not be penalized in any way. It is our intent to provide some interaction for those who need it. High School teachers will schedule a meet with their 1st period class. While we know not everyone is able to engage in school at this time, we know that many need the structure and engagement that school provides. See more
