LET ME TELL YOU WHY REHEARSALS ARE MORE IMPORTANT THAN YOU THINK! . . Your wedding party is really small so it’s totally fine if they don’t practice, right?! WRONG! Your wedding party may consist of only a maid of honor and best man, but practice makes perfect. When it’s go time, the last thing we want is for confusion to set in. Do I go to my left? Or your left? My other left? Having a rehearsal means everyone is prepared and can get their questions answered before... the big day! Your photographer and videographer will be capturing these momentsyou can tell in photos/cinema when someone has an uh-oh where do I walk to? look on their face. . . Your venue can’t accommodate a rehearsal on site, so you’ll just nix it altogether! NOPE. HAVE ONE ANYWAY! It’s more important for those participating to learn what they’re supposed to do even if it’s at the local park or someone’s backyard! . . Half our wedding party have been in weddings previously so they know what to do. NOT ALL WEDDINGS (OR AISLES) ARE CREATED EQUAL! Even if they’ve been in several weddings, they’ve never been in YOURS or at your specific venue. Practice makes perfect! . . I know you waited months (heck, even years!) to marry your favorite person, but from the time you start getting ready to the time that last song plays - everything goes by in a blur! Enjoy the quiet moments, the oh sh*t moments, and all the moments in between because you won’t have this day again. .... . 2 CARVE OUT TIME for just you and your partner! No wedding party around, no vendors, no one else. This can be pre-ceremony or post ceremony. We had one couple request 10 minutes of alone time in a quiet space after they said I do to eat bbq ribs and have a celebratory beer with just the two of them and we LOVED that idea! . . 3 TRUST YOUR VENDORS! (And open communication!) You can’t do it all on your own even if you’re the MOST organized person on the planet! That’s why it’s SO important to choose vendors you 110% trust will execute one of the most important days of your lives. Chances are, this is your first time planning a large scale event - the timelines, layouts, multiple vendors, family dynamics, alcohol calculators, rental orders! WHAT A WEEK! and just like that we are approaching mid October and diving DEEPER into wedding season! There are 11 weeks left in 2021 with 9 weddings left to execute and I’m so ready for them! . . Highlights this week .... . My little sister got married over the weekend and I couldn’t be happier for her and her new hubby! Congratulations @cai_geee and @jack_john_brown We love you both to pieces!! . . FAMILY!!! We got to spend time with family from all over the Bay and Southern CA for three days straight! It felt amazing to see our niece cozy up to the boys!#cousincrew . . I stepped out of my comfort zone and it felt great but also it was freaking hard!!! Fall weather ahead of us this week in Sacramento and I am ALL for it! Rebecca’s bouquet designed by Angela Perevertaylo] is still one of my favorite fall bouquets ever . . My family and I are headed for an overnight in SF tomorrow and I’m SO excited to be packing a jacket and boots! Lol. We’re going to leave early enough to beat the traffic (hopefully), pick up some donuts (because why not?!) and then enjoy some overpriced garlic fries and beer at the #sfgiants game. It’s... been about 2.5 years since we’ve visited the city with the boys so I’ll be unplugging and enjoying EVERY. SINGLE.
