To celebrate Read Across America Week with our focus on Creating and Celebrating Diverse Readers, Principal Jurado will read Sulwe by Lupita Nyong’o to our Bethune learners. The read aloud will be recorded and posted to our Facebook Page. Bethune K8’s first Learning Lab has had a very successful start in supporting middle school learners with access to Learning Lab Mentors and tutoring support throughout the academic day. Learning Labs have a maximum of 14 students and at least one Learning Lab Mentor (adult staff member). Students attend for a full school day for five days a week. We look forward to opening more learning labs to help meet the needs of our TK-8 students in the safest environment possible under... guidance from the CDC and our medical and scientific expert panel from UCSD. So proud of our Bethune learners!
