We desire God's grace, yet we often hesitate to give grace to others. When the Spaniards arrived in 1769 in the area now called Encino, the land was inhabited by the Tongva people, who had been living there for 7,000 years. Today we honor the Tongva and all other people who first called this country their home. We remember their suffering and struggles, and we celebrate their cultures and contributions.

Pastor Kenneth "Spider-Man" Davis and Bethel Council Member Karyn Wong spent Saturday just hanging around -- while rappelling from the top of the Universal City Hilton for the Union Rescue Mission's "Over the Edge" fundraiser. The event raised more than $550,000 for URM's programs for the homeless. Congratulations to our fearless leaders for supporting this awesome event!

In his sermon about David's prayer (Psalm 51), Pastor Kenneth said that when we sin against each other, we sin against God.
