Victory Gardens were planted by families in the United States to help prevent a food shortage. Planting Victory Gardens helped make sure that there was enough food for the community. This meant food for everyone! Ready to grow a victory garden of your own? #GrowingAFoodMovement
How does your container garden grow? Ours is supporting lots of brassica flowers for our local pollinators. Learn more about how to create and optimize your own container garden by joining our Berry Good Book Club featuring, Tiny Victory Gardens, Growing Food without a Yard, written by @acadia.tucker. Purchase your copy of the book via our link in bio, and email us to sign on for our exclusive April 1st Q&A session on @zoom with the author. #GrowingAFoodMovement
It’s #FreshFoodFriday and we love the work that the @tritonfoodpantry is doing to make sure students have what they need for the upcoming finals week! Did you know that the Triton Food Pantry is managed by student pantry managers and interns who provide oversight to the daily operations of the food pantry. The operation is also supported by a set of student volunteers who sign up to help support. We were happy to provide this operation with @specialtyproduce Farmer’s Market Boxes this week to supplement their regular distribution. Together, we are truly #GrowingAFoodMovement @ucsandiego!

It was all smiles on this golden afternoon with our friends at Morning Glory! The proceeds from your Berry Good Holiday Gift Basket purchases amounted to $1000 in Specialty Produce Gift Cards that went out to hospitality workers in need! Thank you to all who supported this project and thank you to Chef Kat Humphus and the Morning Glory/Invigatorium teams for keeping up the fight! #GrowingAFoodMovement
We hear you loud and clear! 2021 is going to be a year of hope, a year of betterment, and a year for change!! #GrowingAFoodMovement
New year, fresh fish!!! We had a fantastic morning at the first Tuna Harbor Dockside Market of 2021, shooting the next episode of Cooking the Catch with a stellar group of chefs! It doesn’t get fresher than shopping straight from the source! Visit the market, open every Saturday, 8am-1pm, and buy, eat, and support local! #GrowingAFoodMovement
In case you were wondering, yes, our Holiday Drive collaboration with @bajawinefood is going quite well! Thank you to everyone who has donated clothes, toys, suitcases, and everything in between to benefit @ninosdebaja. There’s still time to contribute! DM us for details! #BeingBerryGood
Christmas is less than 2 weeks away. Yes, you read that right! For last minute, locally sourced deliciousness, delivered right to your friends and loved ones, visit link below, where you can shop items like our Holiday Food & Wine Gift Basket. This cross border celebration of the land features two selections from @venacavavinos, California artisan cheeses, @temeculavalleyhoneycompany honeycomb, and Oceanside produced charcuterie from @olli_salumeria. If that wasn’t enough, all proceeds gathered from sales of this gift basket will go to our #SanDiego hospitality partners in need. We’re all in it together this holiday and can’t wait for you to join us in #GrowingAFoodMovement. https://berrygoodfood.org/shop
With your help in 2020, we established an edible garden at Ninos de Baja Orphanage in Valle de Guadalupe, to support and provide food access for the community. As the holidays approach, we invite you to join us once again to support the children of Niños de Baja. Become a Padrino or Madrina to a child this holiday by providing a suit case care package of clothing, blankets, and toiletries. Your contribution will spark the holiday spirit for our friends and provide for them in the new year. DM us for details on how to participate. #BeingBerryGood

Cheers to fresh food for all!! #GrowingAFoodMovement Repost from @chinitaspies: So much good collectively in one place gives me hope. I’m humbled to be a part of a mutual aid movement with @weallwegotsd to help those in need gain food security. Successful drop offs today with @berrygoodfoodfdn, @specialtyproduce, and @castyourbreadsandiego, will go towards feeding the community well today. #FoodDistribution #GivingBack #SanDiego #FoodCommunity
