| Alireza Firouzja learns from Garry Kasparov. One of the people that really had influence on my chess was Kasparov. A lot of things that I know in chess is from the games that he played and the books that he wrote.
Congratulation to our alumni , GM Hans Niemman
Dear Chess Friends, Please join me in helping The Berkeley Chess School to reach their building improvement fundraising goal before the New Year. http://www.be...rkeleychessschool.org/make-a-gift-to-our-buil/ COVID-19 will be over sooner or later and it is important to have a beautiful chess club ready for boys and girls, men and women, professional players and amateurs. I was fortunate to participate in the Berkeley Summer IM Norm Tournament in 2019 and was extremely impressed by all the hard work, time, efforts, care and hospitality Elizabeth Shaughnessy and many others provided to the tournament participants and local chess players. During my life, I have seen many chess clubs and I definitely recognize the ones that feel like home, where you want to come over and over again, to learn, to play, to be happy and share the love for the game. Please donate what you can, so together we will help The Berkeley Chess School to provide a wonderful home for the chess players. P.S. Also, please share this post! See more
