Bennett Kew parents celebrated a wonderful day taking photos, dressing up, and having coffee with the principal on May 10. Parents also came together to support a district-sponsored barbecue on May 25th. Way to go parents. http://bennett-kew.myiusd.net/?p=1502

The Bennett Kew girls basketball team worked extremely hard to compete with other school districts and their hard work paid off because they placed 2nd. A major accomplishment for many of the girls who have never been on a team before. GO BEARS. http://bennett-kew.myiusd.net/?p=1468

Over the past few weeks the Math Team has been studying and practicing hard to prepare for their math competition. Their hard work paid off as 4th grade placed 1st , and 3rd grade placed 3rd. Fifth grade also competed and worked very hard on a difficult test. http://bennett-kew.myiusd.net/?p=1462

Bennett-Kew students joined hundreds of their fellow Inglewood Unified peers for a day of football, fitness and fun on May 13th. The event was held by Inglewood's own Los Angeles Rams as a part of the NFL's "Play 60" Initiative. The event is aimed at encouraging students to play for 60 minutes everyday. Students who attended the event at Coleman Field in Inglewood were treated to healthy snacks, fitness and football stations as well as the chance to mingle with Rams players. It's Book Fair time at Bennett-Kew!!!! As a reminder to students and parents, the Book Fair will be open to students during Recess this week, students will require a pass. Afterschool, the Book Fair will be open to students and parents from 2:00-3:00 p.m. on Wednesday and Friday.
