Fall Picture Day is tomorrow, October 30th. Bring your smiles!

Power is expected to be restored on all Evergreen campuses by 10pm tonight. As such, Bend Elementary will be able to open tomorrow, Tuesday, October 27th, with all services available for students! Grab and Go Meals will be provided curbside for those families on Independent Study. See you all tomorrow!

We are looking forward to seeing all of our students back at school tomorrow. Please remember that we are no longer doing a staggered start. Drop off is now between 8:00am and 8:15am. School begins promptly at 8:15am. See everyone tomorrow!

Please remember that face coverings are required for adults on our campus. If you leave your vehicle to walk your child to be screened or to pick your child up, you must wear a face covering. Thank you for your cooperation!

It was a great day at Bend Elementary today! Thank you to our parents who waited patiently while your child was being screened, to our students who practiced social distancing, wore their masks, followed the new guidelines, and listened so carefully to their teachers, and to our staff who worked so hard in preparation for and throughout the day!

Please see the message below from Supt. Mendenhall. September 15, 2020 Dear Families:... Today at noon, Tehama County was moved from Tier I (Purple) to Tier II (Red). This is very good news for Tehama County, our families, businesses and of course, our schools. Tehama County must stay in Tier II (Red) or better, for 14 days before we can begin reopening. If we get through the next 14 days successfully, we would be able to begin the reopening process on Tuesday, September 29th. That said, it will take continued diligence on all our parts to keep our numbers down so that we have that option. We must all do our part! On Tuesday, September 22nd (next Tuesday), I will be asking for the board to approve a plan for reopening on September 29th, should conditions in the county allow us to do so. This moves up the timeline from the Board’s original decision of October 19th to September 29th. Should we be able to reopen, we will postpone Parent Conferences until later in the fall/early winter. Additionally, we expect that some families will still want to keep their children home, so we will be sending out another survey to collect that information in order to determine if and how we can accommodate those families. Finally, if we are able to reopen, strict guidelines will be in place, including face coverings and screenings. You have all hung in there with us through this unpredictable time; hopefully, you can hang on a little bit longer, we all do our part and we are able to get back to school soon. Thank you again.
