Belly Rub Farms 19.12.2020

Getting super excited about spring... I have confirmed 26 tomato, 23 peppers, 5 eggplant, 10 cucumber, 10 summer squash, 10 basil, 15 winter squash, 5 sweet potato varieties plus a bunch of fun unusual herbs for production this coming season! And I'm not finished... still working on some more seed sources to bring in unusual and amazing types. www.bellyrubfarms.com will have them all listed for pre-order (you can choose the date to pick up starting April). Bay Area folks... I'm hoping power soccer season will happen, and I'll deliver to a tournament if you want!

I know it's November, but my mind often runs 6 months ahead in its thoughts... Thinking about Basil today and wondering what varieties people enjoy the most... or if there is an unusual one anyone out there wants to try this next spring. So far I've committed to: Italian Large Leaf, Dark Purple Opal, Eleonora, Genovese, Purple Ruffles, Rutgers Obsession, Siam Queen, Sweet Italian. Any suggestions?

End of season harvest.. assorted peppers and letting the beans go to seed for planting next year.

A few more weeks left for fall veggie plantings... I still have 9 types of garlic available (I'm starting my own planting this week, so let me know soon if you need any!). Construction of my new heated greenhouse is well underway, giving me the ability to provide even more variety to spring veggie starts (and probably some cool exotic stuff because I can't control myself). The website has lots of items listed... from winter squash you can cook with now to bare root trees and shrubs you can order now for Jan/Feb planting. In the next few weeks I'll have another category up and running - bulb flowers and such. Please consider checking it out, letting me know what you think, and signing up for a weekly reminder of what's going on at the farm. Thanks!

Not all of the varieties grow well here, but I thought it was neat chart!
