Thanks for all the love and feedback on the latkes. We do plan to eventually add them to the menu permanently but right now we are just trying to hone the method as they are a total pain to make. But worth it. Right. Right?

Sexy shrek is my everyday mood. Sold out, it was a wild one. We’ll have latkes on Wednesday!

BIG DAY! Starting tomorrow and throughout this week we will be doing a limited test run of our house made charred scallion and black pepper latkes. We’ve got about 500 total. Available in any sandwich or on the side (a la hashbrown). I do regret to inform you that we do not have any apple sauce or sour cream but I have a secret stash of ketchup if you wanna b a freak like me. 7am tomorrow.

This is perfection. From the day we first opened 4 and a half years ago we started using @rcprovisions pastrami. Known to most as the makers of Langer’s pastrami. Initially, we used the exact same cut as Langer’s but our friends at @rcprovisions just debuted a new BBQ pastrami that is OUT OF THIS WORLD GOOD. Think, your favorite pastrami meets your favorite bbq brisket all perfectly smoked. I’m elated that we get to debut this tomorrow as our new house pastrami and I’m so proud of our friends at @rcprovisions for putting out this stellar product. And I’m only slightly weirded out by all of our employees staring at me as I took this picture.

Really floored by the outpouring of support on Saturday. In hopes of making tomorrow a bit smoother we have decided for the time being to disable Caviar and Doordash on the weekends. While most of the drivers for the app are great, the app sends them to the shop earlier than their scheduled pick-up which causes more crowding than we are comfortable with during the pandemic and during our busiest days. Sorry for the inconvenience this might cause for some. We’ll keep you posted if things change. But until then c u tomorrow at 8am.

For whatever reason this is my least favorite thing to talk about as a business owner. We have come to a point where we need to raise some of our prices slightly. We’ve always put that impossibly difficult intersection of affordability and quality at the forefront of our business. We look at pricing as what we have to charge instead of what we could charge, and have only upped our prices when our expenses were going up. As time has gone on some product prices increase, our ov...erhead has changed dramatically (especially after leaving the hi hat) and labor continues to rise as we hire more amazing staff to manage a much larger kitchen. We hope you understand we are doing what is necessary to keep our business afloat in these crazy times and we sincerely thank everyone for your support, kindness and patronage over the last few years XOXO BAGLBOIS See more
