Hi friends! I have a wonderful stylist coming aboard and I want to show her some new techniques with cut/color. Anyone who’s willing to allow us to work together on your hair will receive a discount. Hoping for a solid all over color/root touch up but can also do highlights and open to any type of cut. I will be there and all work is as always guaranteed, you will leave with beautiful hair! I’m not sure how to honor him so I just wanted to put it here as a small ode. I’m so sad to say that our barber, Bill has passed away. He added so much life and laughter to the salon. I feel so grateful to have known him and that we all had the privilege to work along side him at the shop. I wish I could have known him longer. He would stand and talk with me while I laid flooring at the salon, he’d help me haul all the trash from renovations out, he helped open bottles of dev...eloper for me when I was rushing about my day with clients, he made lots of jokes and gave myself and my friends lots of laughs. I loved how he’d tell a story and use Ol’ boy as a description for whomever he was talking about. He always had a smile on at work and a story to share. It wasn’t long that I knew him, but he did leave a mark in that short time and I’m grateful I got to meet him and work along side him. Sending out love and healing for his family and everyone who knew him. RIP, Bill, you’re already missed. Your business cards and your name will always have their spot on our desk at Bellamy Salon. Touching up this @pravana pink and purple color and a line haircut. These in-between lightening touch ups are quick and make a huge difference to brighten those colors back up. Next appointment we will bring her lightened pieces back up toward the root area and maybe even change up the colors. This is such an important message to remember. Especially in the beauty industry field, I feel there’s so much competition that we often times get bitter towards other artists or other salons. We tend to compare ourselves and feel a sense of, I need to be better than them! I felt like this when I first started doing hair and when I opened my first salon. But then I realized it wasn’t out of wanting to compete, it was coming from a place of not feeling good enough.... I say this so often, we don’t need to break down or talk down about our fellow stylists or salons. There are so many clients needing accommodating and Chico needs all the good stylists it can get! We are all in this together, men and women in the industry. So when you see another stylist or salon in your area, remember, these are your sister salons, not your enemies. Support one another, post a pleasant and encouraging comment on someone’s beautiful work, even if you don’t know them. We are working toward similar goals and we all want to better our skills every day and with supporting one another, we will do just that. I’m proud to be a part of the beauty profession industry and there are so many amazing, powerful people who I am happy to have as a fellow artist.
