The VAPA Foundation will be hosting its second annual Spotlight gala, "Beyond Brilliance: Spotlight on Dynamic Young Artists" as a virtual experience, on April 18 at 6 p.m. Originally set to take place at The Conrad in La Jolla, the event will feature high-level student performances and artwork, and is a can't miss for any music, dance, theatre, or visual arts buffs out there. The event will be live here.... Proceeds from the benefit will support enhanced arts education programs for all students at SDUSD schools. With schools currently being closed, the need for arts education and funding is greater than ever.

The Dr. Seuss Fund at The San Diego Foundation will provide a match of $1 for every $2 contributed to the San Diego COVID-19 Community Response Fund. The Dr. Seuss Fund wishes to inspire individuals, corporations, and others to give $1 million to earn its $500,000 match to support nonprofits helping San Diegans impacted by the coronavirus.
