To say I’m obsessed with tape in extensions is an understatement for sure! I used 4 packs of 18 extensions to help give this babe her length back and provide extra fullness Message me to book a consultation to learn how you can get luscious locks like this!
I have such exciting news! I am going full time in the salon! After a year of being at Expressions Salon and building my clientele I’ve decided it’s time to open up my schedule more to accommodate for new clients. You can book with me through my book now button for appointments Tuesday-Friday and message me for Monday or Saturday appointment requests. I appreciate my clients so much, I couldn’t have gotten to this point in my career without your support
Change is in the (h)air! I’m absolutely loving this sunny weather, you guys! Something about it gets me so motivated and excited for what each new day will bring. What better time than now to finally try out that new hairstyle or color you’ve been saving on Pinterest QUICK QUESTION: If you color your hair any color of the rainbow, which one would you choose? I would pick rose gold with a touch of mauve.
Extensions aren’t just used for babes who want long hair! They are great for adding fullness and perfect for filling in those front pieces that frame the face. I used 2 packs of custom colored tape-ins on my beautiful coworker and I’m thrilled with the results Have you had trouble trying to grow in those pesky front pieces? Message me so I can help you out!
Did you know if we don’t find a color swatch that matches your exact haircolor I can customize your extensions for you? I can color your extensions with your custom color I formulate just for you for a seamless blend OR we can get extensions a level lighter or darker for some gorgeous dimension!
This may just look like a picture of pretty highlights and gorgeous waves, but what you aren't seeing in this photo is the years of experience that created this beautiful end result. Behind every single highlight formula, toner, and foil placement is a calculated and educated decision. Sounds like a lot of work right? To me, none of this feels like work at all! I feel like I get to come to work and play. Who’s coming in this month to let me play?
Shoutout to my beautiful friend Janice for being my hair model for my first ever sew-in extensions instal! We did 3 rows of 22 hand tied wefts to give her some length and extra fullness One goal I have for 2021 is to start offering several different extension methods customized for my clients hair type and needs. I’m not ready to offer extensions quite yet, but message me if you want to be the first on my list when I do
QUICK POLL: What do you use when you curl your hair at home? a) a regular curling iron b) a wand c) a straightening iron... Follow up question: Would you find it interesting if I posted a video comparing all three methods?
I was SO excited to create this look for Miss Sabrina! She’s growing out her roots but wanted to have some fun with color before going back all natural. I absolutely love doing colors like this and I hope this year I get to do many more!
You know that feeling when you are waiting to get your hair done? You’re literally counting down the days, right? Well I just wanted to let you know that it doesn’t go beyond me that my job is the type of job that people are looking forward to seeing me and having me do their hair. To be honest, I feel the same way about my clients! I get so excited when I see your name on my schedule. I love catching up with my regular clients or getting to know new ones. The fact that the going to work each day means I get to make people feel good brings me so much joy. Happiness is essential. My career is essential. I am essential.
I’m dreaming of a platinum Christmas
Alexa, play Blue Christmas I hope in 2021 I get even more clients who want to try fun colors!
This babe sat in my chair and said I want to see a transformation, make me as blonde as possible. So, I waved my magic wand (my color brush with lightener) and this was the result! With back to back foils I created this gorgeous bright vanilla blonde for her and I’d say she was pretty happy with her transformation
If you had to describe this hair color using only Holiday food, what would it be? I think it reminds me of a snickerdoodle cookie! I’m excited to see what you come up with!
Is anyone setting goals in 2021? Or are we all just skipping that this time? In all seriousness, with all of the negatives 2020 brought, there were some positives too. Even though salons in California were closed for 4 months out of the year, my business did better than it ever has. A big goal of mine was to be booked a month in advance. Well, in 2020 I not only met that goal, I accomplished it 4 months in a row! It goes to show you that even in a year with so much unpredictability, when you’re working hard, you can still achieve what you put your mind to! Do you have any goals you want to hit in 2021? Share them below!
Do you have that person on your list you cannot think of ANYTHING to get them for the holidays? Trust me, I feel you. What about giving them a gift card to get their hair done? Everyone could use some me time to relax and get pampered, especially after this year! Or if that doesn’t feel like a good fit for them, we also have a TON of amazing products that would make a great gift or stocking stuffer too! Send me a message to reserve your products and we’ll set up a time for you to come pick it up! Talk about easy!
This babe is putting the ginger in gingerbread this season!
For this transformation, I did a combination of lowlights and balayage. The balayage helped break up her grown out roots and the lowlights added dimension and depth back into her hair. Then to finish the look, a gloss to neutralize and tone down the warmth. (Before pic isn’t my work)
! Whether you’re dressing up in a costume or getting comfy in your pj’s tonight, I hope you have a happy Halloween!
Muave Amour Gave this babe the lavender mauve hair of her dreams!
- Halloween time is my FAVORITE time to visit Disneyland! (Christmas is a very close second) 68 degrees is my most ideal temperature. Cozy clothes without a frozen nose. I’ve discovered this year I can’t go a week without an iced chai with pumpkin from Starbucks. I’m obsessed, it’s a problem. I can’t wait for all of the trees to start changing colors! (even though it only lasts about a week)
This was my first appointment with Miss Kaylee working towards her platinum dream hair! We did a full head of balayage highlights and a bright money piece then glossed her to create this vanilla sugar blonde
Are you guys ready for Halloween? I know it might not feel the same this year, but nothing can stop you from dressing up and eating some candy! Tell me what your costume is going to be this year and/or what your favorite candy is in the comments below! I’m going to be Miss Wednesday Adams this year and my favorite candy is Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups!
? For this client in her recent lightening session you can see some pieces are lightened for the first time AND some pieces were lightened a second time which creates so much dimension and makes those extra light pieces POP!! Sometimes getting your hair to your desired color isn’t possible in one appointment. Keep in mind next time you look at an inspiration hair pic, more than likely you’re seeing the product of several sessions of detailing and customizing. Coloring hair is truly a work of art and just like you, your hair is unique
Here’s my tutorial for heatless waves! This technique is SUPER easy to do and It’s honestly the only way I’ve been styling my hair lately! Lear me know if you give it a try
I love seeing the way colors transform in different lighting. In the more direct light, this red is bright and could give Ariel a run for her money, but in the indirect light it has so much depth and shine!
We have a new product line at the salon that I’m so excited to tell you all about! Loma is an organic and cruelty free brand that uses ingredients non harmful to you or the environment! This is their daily shampoo and conditioner which is sulfate, paraben, and gluten free. It’s for fine to normal hair type and uses quinoa protein to repair hair and provide shine and moisture
I am SO thankful for this girl and how she lets me express my creativity. We always do a fun color and have never done the same color twice! This time we did a reverse sunrise with pops of pink
Major fall vibes for this babe
