PRO TIP! Having to wear a mask for extended periods of time, I’ve started carrying this mask kit with me. I found that the minute I remove my mask, my skin felt sweaty, irritated, and just plain gross and blotting wasn’t enough. Doing this has been a game changer for me. No, my skin isn’t perfect, but I haven’t had any breakouts and my skin is a lot less irritated. What you will need: With CLEAN hands and CLEAN scissors, remove a facial wipe and cut in half. Place sev...eral cut wipes in a plastic ziplock. You’ll then need something to rehydrate the skin. It can be a travel sized moisturizer or even a hydrating mist. My current choice has been Lira Clinical’s Hydrating Mineral Mist. If you have them, throw several clean masks into a ziplock as well. Toss all of it into your purse, backpack, or stash them where you need them! *I also recommend reapply SPF to the area if it will be exposed to sun at any time after cleansing. To use: The minute you are able to take your mask off, cleanse your skin in the mask area with the wipe. Next, rehydrate (mist or moisturize). If you need to mask up again, put on a new clean mask! Today I was going to announcing my reopening plans for mid July. However, in light of the increasing COVID numbers in Sacramento County I’m going to adjust my plan slightly. I am still going to AIM for a mid July opening BUT I am holding off on making it official until I see where this week takes us. My gut tells me Sac County will end up rolling back more if numbers continue to climb and the last thing I want to do is have to reach out again and have the cancel/reschedule-in...g nightmare all over again. So here’s how I will proceed in the next coming weeks: . 1) At the end of this week I will reassess how safe it is to provide facial services and go from there. I will send out another update next weekend. . 2) IF by the end of this week numbers stabilize and the County does not roll back, I will FIRST reach out to my clients who’s appointments were canceled due to the SIP order. Those clients will get first dibs. . 3) Once those canceled clients have been contacted, I will open my books up to everyone else. ............................................................. Please keep in mind there will be new forms to sign, and procedures implemented. I will be sharing more info on what getting a treatment at Beauty Alchemy looks like going forward very soon.
