Exciting news: State requirements have changed and we will now be able to do Distance Learning during inclement weather instead of calling future snow days. This is only available for the remainder of the 2020-2021 school year. We will still be required to make up this week's snow days on Monday, March 29th, and Tuesday, March 30th which will be Distance Learning days.

Full of gratitude for all of our students, families, staff, and community. During these challenging times, I have witnessed your tremendous kindness to each other, compassion for each other, commitment to do what is best for our community, and perseverance to continue until we reach a new day. On Thanksgiving Day, I will be thinking of all of you! Happy Thanksgiving Dr. Mary Suzuki

https://bit.ly/TK-5Return Hello Parents, Guardians and Caretakers, We understand there may have been some confusion about the Return to School Choice Form since it was embedded in my recent update. This is the direct link to the Return to School Choice form. It is only for TK-5th Grade Parents to complete at this time. Please complete by September 24th to assist us with placing your child in the correct program (Hybrid or Distance Learning). If your child currently attends the Virtual Academy, he/she will remain in Virtual Academy until the semester change. Thank you

Great news for our students! Our District Waiver to return TK-5th grade students was approved last night by California Department Public Health and San Bernardino Department Public Health. We will be bringing our TK students back on campus to Baldwin on September 28th. We will gradually add K-5th grades at all sites with the hybrid model beginning with K-1st the Monday after October Break. This will allow us to have less than 14 in each class on the days students are in att...endance and to follow CDPH guidelines. At this time, we are planning a M-W and a T-Th hybrid model with all students doing Distance Learning on Fridays. At this time in order to ensure safety, we will be releasing students to go home two hours prior to their regular release time so that they can take a grab n go lunch/breakfast. This will alleviate congregating in the lunch area and avoid cohorts mingling. It will also allow teachers to meet in the afternoon with their group of students not in attendance that day, via distance learning for the live synchronous. lessons. The hybrid hours for students attending are tentatively set as follows: BBES 8:30-12:50 (in person group) and 1:30-3:15 (Distance Learning Group) BLES 8:50-1:10 (in person group) and 1:45-3:30 (Distance Learning Group) NSES 8:10-12:30 (in person group) and 1:15-3:00 (Distance Learning Group) FVS To be announced (8:25-12:45) Additional information will be sent out to our families in the next few weeks.
Although we are unable to gather together today to honor the strength of our country during 9-11, we will never forget.
