Hey October I’ve been in need of something to get me out of a creative rut. This list of botanicals from scripture has been on the back burner since January. So let’s do it! Follow along this month as I draw a botanical each day taken from plants mentioned in the Bible. I’ll even share their meaning and verse to go with each one... and in the end it will make one incredible prayer garden! Because I believe in a God that is, and was, and is to come. All of this is just a blip. There is no more comforting reminder to me than seeing plants that grew then, alive and well growing today. Since California has a very Mediterranean climate, most of the plants mentioned throughout scripture grow very well here. I’ve spent some time and research pulling together this list and I’m excited to get drawing and painting. Putting finishing touches on this #shedconversion before we start moving the art studio/print shop into the 10x12 #tinyoffice @joshuadildine has devoted his blood, sweat, and (maybe) tears, but mostly lots of sweat, over the course of the better part of this summer to an overhaul on our neglected side yard to create a sweet work space & HQ for BDT on the #dildinecountryhome compound. Not only am I thrilled to get studio things out of my home and away from my sneaky/creative... little people, the shed holds an overwhelming pride of workmanship for a job well done with our own hands... And, #sherwinwilliams mint glaze is giving me life with that door color and logo sign... all of the little choices in place make me so happy.
