If your restaurant has a bar make sure your employees are trained properly to serve alcoholic beverages... 2. Be sure to inspect and clean the the kitchen vents especially over fryers, to make sure they are all working properly 3. Maka it a rule of thumb to always use visible signs to caution guest as well as employees of present risk exposures 4. Use not too visible video cameras on premises so that you don't turn off your customers but help deter theft, prevent claims and all other crimes. Also, in the event of an incident or claim it can be used as evidence. 5. Shop around for workers comp because there are many exposures to risk within owning a restaurant business.Your liability limit only applies to visitors, so if an employee has an incident on the premises they can sue, unless you carry workers comp. Also in the state of California its mandatory to have workers comp for businesses with more than just one employee. Therefore without WC, your business can be fined by the CA Department of Labor. Ok, I know its hard to not check your messages while driving. You could be making dinner plans, checking missed calls or even getting directions, Trust me I get it. We need our information and we want it now, not 10 minutes from now once we get off the freeway. Look I'm human I make mistakes too, this is just a reminder to be more conscience about texting while driving on the road. Try pulling over if your not on the freeway; turn off call/ msg alerts when you are on the freeway and check all your social media profiles and messages before you start driving.
