I do my best to stock parts with as much local (US) content as possible. That tends to provide you with the best quality and support and also indirectly funds local lobs for you and your kids. On the other hand, we all have budgets and sometimes drool over those direct from China prices. In order to satisfy that need, I am starting to build up an economy imports section. I can't quite match those direct prices, but I will screen out the least reliable suppliers and provide my normal fast shipping from South San Francisco. What parts should I stock first?

I've got lots of motorized, plastic robot models for kids. Putting these together develops building skills and the final result is a fun toy. I think everybody should build at least one or two of theses during their life. Starting young develops skills that are useful for a lifetime. All of these are available online. Let me know if you have trouble finding them or want a recommendation. If you prefer to pickup in the store, let me know your preferred days and hours for store hours.

Ask and you may receive. I received an email asking if I had Raspberry Pi and/or RS485 interfaces. The website says no but the reality is YES. That's dumb, but it's a reality (that I am working to fix as soon as possible). Please send email if you have trouble finding things on the website. I have updated https://www.bayarearobotics.com/pages/about-us with more details about my Will Call / pick-up process and store payment options.
