The Democratic House majority should just go ahead and impeach the president, doing their constitutional due diligence. They can do that in under a week and then get on with their business. It is clear after today that there is no chance that the president would be removed by a 2/3 vote of the Senate, so, there you go. If Democrats can get on with the business of presenting policy ideas based on hope and change, then we can defeat this scumbag at the ballot box. The 2016 election proves that you can’t win simply by getting people to say no to the opponent. You need to have a reason to say yes to our candidate, and Hillary failed to give that reason to the voters who were the key to victory. I fear for the future of the Republic if we fail to learn that lesson.

The patent deception in Attorney General William Barr’s summary of the Mueller report in my mind amounts to its own act of obstruction of justice, and should be impeachable.

As a member of the legal profession I am extremely saddened and embarrassed by the actions of our nation’s chief law enforcement officer, Attorney General William Barr. His lame and ill-conceived attempt to blunt the impact of the Mueller report showed nothing but his partisan bias, and may have seriously eroded public trust in the independence of the Justice Department.

Dear Sen. Grassley: As chairman of the Senate Judiciary committee, it would be a gross dereliction of your constitutional duty to advise and consent on Supreme Court nominations if you fail to subpoena Dr. Ford and the alleged witness regarding the attempted rape allegation against Judge Cavanaugh. If, instead, you insist on ramming the nomination of the fatal vote for Roe through the Senate amidst this cloud and in our current climate, you will absolutely trash your legacy... in the minds of most women. Thanks for listening to this native of the Hawkeye State.

Moral outrage is running very high, but moral action has been lacking. Consequently, our own government has created a humanitarian crisis within our own southern border. Therefore, I am hereby modestly proposing a 2018 Dia Especiale De Los Ninos: a massive, nationwide act of civil disobedience to liberate, by any nonviolent means necessary, the migrant children being illegally and immorally detained by the Trump Administration, to take place on July 4, 2018, at each of the... main migrant child internment camps, if this Administration has not resolved the problem and at least begun the process of deinstitutionalization of the 2,000+ kids detained in the last two months. Organizers should plan on events at at least these three (3) locations: Ursula, in McAllen, Texas; Casa Padre, in Brownsville, Texas; and Casa San Diego, in San Diego, California. By my estimation, if 5,000 or more courageous citizens show up at each location, and among their number one in five are bona fide potential temporary foster parents for the kids inside, our numbers and righteousness will simply overwhelm the defenses of these facilities. What could be a more suitable July Fourth tribute to the ideals upon which this nation was founded? And would our government really risk the optics of bloodshed over this issue on Independence Day? Please like and share this message in every forum possible. If everyone within the sound of our voices will use their connections to find true patriots willing to take up this cause, this is our chance to stop fascism in its tracks before the cattle cars start rolling. Give me your tired, your poor, Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.
