Barney & Russum Animal Clinic is not longer accepting new clients into our practice for the next 6 weeks. We have an amazing group of existing clients who deserve our best care and attention. This pause in accepting new clients is being done to provide more timely appointments for those who already in our practice. We are prioritizing appointments in order of medical need. We will continue to see new pets from our already established clients. We will be reassessing the situa...tion on a regular basis and will be accepting new clients as soon as possible. Please check back on our website and Facebook page. Thank you for your loyal support, Barney & Russum Veterinarians and Support Staff

As many of you know, thousands of people have been negatively impacted by the power outages in our community, including our very own clinic. This outage has forced us to temporarily close our facility on Thursday, August 20th while we await the power resurgence. Unfortunately, this means that we are not taking appointments during this time, and will not have staff members available to evaluate your pet or accept incoming phone calls. If you have any questions, concerns, or ot...her inquires, or you believe your pet may need to be seen on an urgent basis within the next 24 hours, please message us so we can answer your questions and make sure you and your pet(s) are taken care of. Our staff here at Barney & Russum would like to thank our incredibly understanding clients for sticking through this difficult time with us. We can and will get through this together! See more

Good afternoon everybody! Due to the unfortunate rise of wildfires and evacuation orders that have been placed on our area, our boarding facility is currently at max capacity to help those in need. We are unfortunately unable to accept more pets at this time. If you are currently being evacuated, or are worried that you may be evacuated, please call one of your local boarding facilities or animal clinics that have boarding options to check on their availability. We are deeply sorry for any inconvenience this may cause, and we are working tirelessly to help everyone in need as best as we can. Take care, and please stay safe!

PET HEALTH ADVISORY Barney & Russum would like to inform all our clients about the extreme heat advisory that has been issued for the next week or so. Please keep your pets indoors with water available and the air conditioning set no higher that 75 to 80 degrees. Bulldog type breeds and overweight dogs are especially prone to overheating and overheating is life threatening. Refrigerated moist towels or T-shirt’s can help make pets more comfortable if they are exhibiting mild signs of heat stress. Do not leave your child or your pets in a car at all for any reason, Period. Be safe & protect your pets. Have a wonderful day!
