Q&A with Brian Guilty pleasure" Taylor Swift, Folklore Currently reading: Alan Paton "Cry, the Beloved Country", for one of my virtual classes I'm taking at Columbia University. First vacation spot after quarantine is over: Any place with sun, speedos and all the people to hug! What have you gotten from this pandemic? Long overdue time spent with my family that I missed out on by being away at ballet school and always doing Nutcracker during family holidays. He completed his training at the Conservatório Brasileiro de Dança in Rio de Janeiro. Lucas has danced with Cia Brasileira de Ballet (Brazilian Ballet Compnay), Montgomery Ballet and is currently a dancer with City Ballet of San Diego. Q&A with Lucas What made you pursue dance professionally? I knew dance was my calling from the first time I understood what dance was. It took me a long time to have access to it, but once I took my first ballet class I was the happiest person in the world. I was hooked! Favorite moment on stage: Dancing Walpurgisnacht Ballet by Balanchine. For me this ballet is a celebration of women, and being part of it was an incredible experience. First vacation spot after quarantine is over: Definitely going to visit my family in Brazil. It’s been a while since I saw everyone last and I really miss them. What have you learned from this pandemic? I definitely learned to not take anything for granted, and to be more focused in what is happening right now.
