Royalty Pole Dance

April 2017 - March 2020 . We laughed, we bonded; Felt the many up’s & down’s of the rigorous demand of Pole Dancing for sport. We partied, we grew to love ourselves, and realized just how much one person can sweat in one hour. We cussed, we cheered, we got uncomfortably close to friends’ armpits and it was all amazing. . Royalty Pole Dance is now officially closed but to mourn its loss would defeat the reason I started it. I didn’t want to make a huge profit from the studio..., nor did I want to be Pole famous. I wanted to help people heal and break the stigma still alive in Bakersfield. We did it, you guys. So many wonderful people came through these doors and fell in love with Dance and with THEMSELVES again. We HEALED and it was powerful! . Now I, Carmen, must take my life another direction to continue healing and helping others in greater degrees than we did at the studio. It was more than enough, and it isn’t dead at all. It’s still well alive in our SOULS and the identity we hold true now. . Take this as an opportunity to grow. Remember, who you really are comes out when your back is against the wall. Don’t give up on something that makes you happy. Find another way to do it. Like a good friend always tells me, if you really want something BAD, you’ll find a way. . Keep on being the QUEENS you are. True royalty always helps others, always includes the broken, and always rises from the ashes. Don’t let your fears guide your lives. Take the risks and discover who you really are as you step over the ledge into the sea of opportunity ahead of you. . We commend all of you and love you all SO dearly. To all the teachers that gave Royalty life, I THANK YOU. To all the students who came to class each week, you were more often the teachers, showing us how to better share our skill. Our love goes beyond any limitation you can ever imagine. Believe in yourself, LOVE yourself, and make the world a better place. . Get your Monday morning classes in while you can! Tabitha has been contributing an amazing amount of time to our students and is going to be a bit busier as the new year begins. Unfortunately, this means that she will no longer be able to teach 9 am conditioning & 10 am Flexibility after Jan. 20th.
