Bay Area Jewish Healing Center 10.11.2020

Shabbat Shuva (Shabbath of Return), Healing Service Saturday, September 25th, 11-11:45am PST On Zoom Hosted by Kehilla Community Synagogue in collaboration with the Bay Area Jewish Healing Center Led by Rabbi Elliot Kukla and Beth Dickson This will be a service of prayer, lamenting, and reflection, as we focus on the losses of the year that passed and turn towards imagining a more interdependent and connected world. We will create a sacred space for healing our bodies, spirit...s, communities, and the planet. It will be a part of Kehilla's Shabbat Shuva service from 10am-12pm and you are welcome to join just for the Healing Service or for the whole morning. According to Jewish tradition this Shabbat in between Rosh Hashana and Yom Kippur is a particularly holy time for reflection. This will be a Jewish service that will center the experiences of sick and disabled people. All are welcome to attend. Live closed captioning (CART) will be offered. In this moment of revolution and pandemic - and as the US is beginning to open things up in varying degrees this summer - I want to be sure everyone knows how to be connected to the COVID Grief Network. Spread the word to your communities, and share this post! https://www.covidgriefnetwork.org/ The COVID Grief Network connects young adults who are grieving the illness or death of someone close to COVID-19 to free emotional and spiritual support--and to each other. Our mission is to undo isolation for young adults grieving in the midst of this crisis.

Thank you for joining us over these past several weeks. We hope you will enjoy this gift from us. Please click on this soothing video meditation. You may want to settle in at your screen, close your eyes and just listen, or you may want to grab a cup of coffee and let your eyes go into soft focus. Here is Rabbi Natan Fenner:
