We love a day when kids have fun learning about their pets! We spent the morning at the Eunime Por Tijuana orphanage. The kids were split into 2 groups by age and Dra Rebeca shared info and played games to reinforce the concepts of Responsible Pet Ownership. Everyone received one of our animal welfare coloring books 'Just Like Me' or 'A Cats Tale', crayons, and a prize for participating. The younger group each received a stuffed dog when they correctly remembered something a responsible owner would do like vaccinations, exercise, food, or bath. Those dogs got lots of hugs! The older kids listened to the speech, interacted with a real dog, and chose their own gifts. Several of the older kids will also volunteer at our clinic next Sunday.
