BAD RAP

Good Samaritans Cecilia & James noticed a man struggling with his high energy puppy recently. He'd been in a bad wreck and had limited use of his arm, so was having a tough time of it. They stopped to chat and kindly offered to stay in touch and help him with training support, which the dog owner welcomed. He later followed up with a message asking if they would help her find a new home instead. Unfortunately they're at their limits with dogs, so a few emails later, and here ...she is in our Rescue Barn. And yeah! she brought all her bouncy energy with her. She's a deliriously happy Wild Child with a mission to gobble up as much fun as life will deliver. Feeling grateful today for the Good Sams, their impulse to stop and help, and for the gentleman who loved his pup enough to recognize good people and to let go. This is an ADORABLE dog, so we know it wasn't easy. Photo: Helper dog Elliot approves of the arrangement and started Charm School 101 lessons today.

A bow and a wow to community partners Pet Food Express for donating 2K pounds of quality kibble to our KeepEm Home program. This mountain of love will feed 400 dogs of families who've been squeezed by hard times. How awesome is that? #KeepEmHome #helpyourneighbor #dogownersupport

A sweet as pie event yesterday followed by our first big nighttime downpour of the season, and we finally got the bath our hearts and our grounds have been hungry for. Thanks to all who added to the joy by joining us - Kids and babies, too! Send us your best pix. We'll post highlights soon.
