I remember watching the old westside tapes back in the day and Chuck V saying that bands made him the strongest and having experimented with them I have found ways that they are incredibly useful. Bands and chains get a bad rap for raw lifters, but for deadlift and bench specifically I find them to be quite effective. For deadlift, I like using A LOT of band tension. These teach you to be aggressive off the floor, have a snappy lockout, but also how to grind. Here is coach Chandler hitting 263kg (580lbs)+100kg (220lbs) for a total of 363kgs (800lbs) at the top for a single today. #backyardbarbell

@manieb66 demonstrating some landmine overhead presses. I love these. They are easy on the shoulder joint, train the delts hard, and you can work each arm separately. If you have access to a landmine, give these a shot! #backyardbarbell #makingpowerliftinghardcoreagain

@the_nushman demonstrating how we like doing our single leg work with the @elitefts yoke bar. We like holding the rack similar to a Hatfield squat. This takes a ton of pressure off the joints and really overloads the legs. Try this out if you have ever had issues with joint pain on single leg work and feel the burn! #backyardbarbell
