#Repost @dannymorel I’m heart broken . We walked in the staging room not knowing what to expect .... We’d have had several experiences with Celebrity Guest Speakers in the past... we really were up tight and nervous to even open the door . I had the utmost respect for him, for who he was as a winner ... a competitor ... someone who handled adversity graciously and bounced back from it .... a wonderful father . All of these things you could see from TV , yet meeting someone in person is different ... In person people show you who they really are . I remember the words that described what Kobe meant to me racing through my Mind as we waited for him to come in the room . Killer... Assassin.... WINNER.... INTENSE .... MAMBA . We were about to meet the Black Mamba the guy that would put the dagger in you when the game was on the line .... the guy you gave the ball to when you needed a win ... literally one of the greatest Athletes of all time . He walked in , Sunglasses on , a great suit .... and ... the biggest smile . He shook our hand , we were nervous and I believe If I remember correctly he asked for a glass of wine right away :) . I remember Aaron my youngest son asking if he could have some of his MandM’s and his response was You gotta ask your parents .... not me . We shared some time together and I can honestly say that the words that described #kobebryant the man were completely different than what you saw as an athlete . Cool, down to earth, sweet , kind , humble , gracious ... he was a beautiful beautiful human being I remember EVERYONE Who met him Saying I can’t believe how nice he is I heard it over and over and Over again I can’t believe how nice he is ! . My heart goes out to his wife , his daughters and to all of you who are feeling this terrible tragedy right now . We lost not only a legend in the sport of basketball today, I think we lost one of the great Humans of all time . #ripkobebryant #kobe #blackmama
