The Forbidden Falls One of the most unique falls we visited on our trip, where the rock and moss are continually bleeding fresh, mountain water. It’s actually a series of springs that burst from the cliffs above the Sacramento River and then rain down into the water, which reach about 50 feet high and 150 feet wide. The presence of the river beneath the falls enhances the scene and makes for one of the prettiest sights in the Shasta area. The tallest We made it to the tippy top of the McCloud adventure! The tallest falls out the 3. Sadly we didn’t get to the bottom but we did get to dip our toesat the top of the falls. This hike was one of the most exciting out of all the waterfall hikes we went on, it wasn’t to difficult either, we were going uphill too.
