Good Morning!! We are here and ready to kick off our Howl-Oween Dog Run. We will be out in Civic Center Park from 8am-10am.

We've got a fun Saturday morning planned for you! 7:50am: We will be having a few of our Parks & Recreation Commissioners present the ribbon cutting ceremony for our new shade pavilion at Civic Center Park, located near the playground. The ribbon cutting will kick off our Howl-Oween Run! 8:00am: Our Howl-Oween 1K/5K Dog Run will begin. The run is a staggered start, please join us anytime between 8:00am- 10:00am. No... need to bring a dog to participate! We will be taking on-site registrations for $15 (cash only). Meet us at the finish line to receive your medal and a dog toy! We encourage all participants and their four legged friends to dress in their Halloween costumes! 8:00am- 12:00pm: Join us for another great morning activity of VanTastic! Free for the whole family, in Civic Center Park. We will have fun games and activities for all. Come play basketball, bowl, corn hole and more! 9:00am: Meet us under the new shade pavilion and participate in our costume contest! Awards will be given for the top three human and pet costumes! We hope to see you there!

Dog toys are in! When you register for our Howl-Oween Dog Run that is taking place this upcoming Saturday, 10/02 at 8am, your four legged friend will receive a dog toy and a medal! Winter is coming! We are currently taking registrations for our Winter Youth Co-Ed Basketball league! The registration deadline is November 5th, 2021 and assessments will start November 6th! Have you heard? A sneaky leprechaun has hidden ducks in Civic Center Park! If you spot a duck, bring the duck into the Recreation Counter inside Town Hall and claim a prize. That leprechaun was real clever and hid some real good, so be sure to look all around the park.

What is a better gift from a child than a homemade gift? With our Valentine’s kid kit, we created simple and easy crafts for children to make at home to gift to their family and friends. We created a one kit for all by including a gift for mom, dad, siblings, and grandparents! This kit is designed for children 5-8 years old and include step-by-step instructional videos. Wreaths, hearts, and doorsOh My! Join us in our Valentine’s Door Decorating contest and show those around you the LOVE. From a simple wreath, to a door decked out in hearts, it all counts.
