Hey @gavinnewsom salons are not the problem you want to know why? We have to go to school for 1600 hours to get our licenses in CA, and the first thing we learn is SANITATION! If you don’t sanitize properly during the state board exam, you DON’T pass. PERIOD. So please tell us why salons are the problem, and not the big box stores like Walmart, Home Depot, and Target. Do their employees have licenses that require them to learn proper sanitation? I don’t think so. You are killing our industry and the dreams of many small business owners. We have 10 stylists in our small salon, between 6 of those stylists we saw 562 people in the short time we were allowed to reopen. How many COVID cases...0! @haircraftby_yadi Red box dye The client put temporary hair color that is only supposed to last a month but obviously never came out. Red is the hardest most stubborn color to put in your hair and even after I used lightener it was a bright orange. Going blonde is a process and it takes multiple sessions.. we where able to get her to a medium brown soft balayage. Loved the outcome.
