I was in grade school, so my sense of September 11th is that of a child’s perspective. I remember waking up to the sadness found in both my mother’s voice and my teachers voice. It was also the first time I experienced solidarity. I will never forget this day, and it will always have a place in my life to remember those who both lost their lives & gave their lives for others.

Tomorrow is a pretty special day for us because. we’re turning one! We can’t say thank you enough! It’s kind of nutty how up in the air this year has been. It feels like it’s been one unpredictable season that ceases to come to an end. One thing that hasn’t changed is this California weather. As the days get warmer and seem to linger a little longer, I know Summer is coming to an end and Austin’s is beginning a new chapter. When people come together, great things happen. Last week @whitneysbest found a way to gather our community and raise funds for something bigger than ourselves. In one week’s time & in lieu with National Day of Trafficking persons, together we raised over $11,000 for our local non-profit organization @woutpermission . Our community came together for a greater cause and it has paid off in ways you couldn’t even imagine. // Also, a big shout out to our local @whitneysbest for g...athering us all together for a greater cause. #togetherness

The beginnings of a really good Thursday afternoon

Stopped by our local print shop @riponprintstudio and picked up this restored beauty. I’m a sucker for heirloom kinda pieces and this print shop has a few fun pieces rich in history and stories. This particular item was illustrated back in the 1960’s for the local @riponchamberofcommerce. Thank’s John! We can’t wait to hang this fella in the coffee shop. #smalltownbigheart
