Thank you Placer County Sheriff's Office for creating this very informative fentanyl video. Unfortunately, our county is experiencing an increase in fentanyl related cases.

A very generous citizen brought us stuffed animals to give to children involved in traumatic events. This is what makes our community so great, people looking out for others they don't even know. Thank you for your donation, they will put to good use.

The Community Action Team (CAT) was out the last few days looking for those in need of services and illegal camps. CAT also partnered with Recology this past week in the clean-up of a few camps along Auburn Folsom Rd, and Sacramento St. Stay tuned as our team continues to work for our community. If you see something please report it to our Communication Center 24-hours/day at 530-823-4234.

We welcome Sergeant Ranier Neri to the Auburn Police Department Team. Today he was sworn in and signed on with #TeamAPD. He comes to APD with over 20 years of law enforcement experience from Hawaii and the Sacramento Police Department. He is excited to be our newest Police Sergeant and is looking forward to serving our community. #APDdraft2021... #APDClassof2021 City of Auburn, California - City Hall Chief Ryan L. Kinnan

This afternoon staff from the Auburn Police Department took two youth from our community shopping as part of our annual Shop with a Cop event. They were unable to attend the main event a couple weeks ago, but we were happy to spend some time with them today. We thank all our community members that made this event possible and the holidays just a little brighter for these two grateful kids.

From our homes to yours, we wish everyone and their family a safe and happy Holiday Season. Special thank you to our staff for their contributions in decorating and to Brenda Roper for coordinating with her nephews, owners of Ropers Christmas Trees (Luther and Highway 49) for donating the two trees in front of the Police Department.

Staff from APD attended Auburn’s 6th Annual Remembrance Ceremony honoring all of our veterans, active duty, and those who paid the ultimate sacrifice defending our freedoms. Depicted below is Lieutenant Garlock presenting a wreath and the joint Color Guard comprised of APD and PCSO.
