All to often we see ice cream flavor profiles across the board the same, humdrum that you can get After’s dinner Or At your friends Jenni’s or just add some salt & a straw to that store bought pint.. Not here, not us We love to go off the beaten path and be inspired ... @sidneyscones are the most authentic textured scones I have had outside of Europe and the Middle East #mumtaz to Chelsea thé chef.... Chelsea and I met in a brief encounter upon her stumbling upon our little store and she fell in love with our ice cream, I loved her personality and she is taller then me... at 5’10 it’s always nice not to be the tallest ... our friendship grew and she brought us scones and these most amazing treats... custard butter chewy chocolate coconut burst of what I can explain only as a #bountybar elevated to ... we literally could not stop eating them. I sought to deconstruct and reinvent as an ice cream and loose nothing but be sure to highlight the three layers in ice cream form. We we achieved our goal! @sidneyscones box coming your way soon... We like a challenge and this was. Reconstructing as a true iceccream and keeping true to the components texture, tastes and providing the same Awe, and satisfaction was paramount! : @marlin_like_the_fish : #ohcanada begins with our simple 5 ingredient @strausmilk organic ice cream dairy base that we traveled across the pond to our childhood in Europe to recreate the 100 year old Birds Custard flavor. At the same time we had to create that dense non bake cookie base;... which we did and intensified the chocolate to stand out and fore went the traditional to make a chewy dense add in bursting with chocolate, wafer, coconut and cocoa and top it with a ganache ( we ganache)! The Nanaimo bar is a dessert item of Canadian origin. It is a bar dessert which requires no baking and is named after the city of Nanaimo, British Columbia. It consists of three layers: a wafer, nut, and coconut crumb base; custard icing in the middle; and a layer of chocolate ganache on top. The custard icing filling is traditionally made using Bird's Custard Powder.

History lesson: whatever the story this is a must try The first known recipe for #nanaimobars bars was printed in the 1952 Women’s Auxiliary of the Nanaimo Hospital Cookbook, but under the name chocolate square. A year later, the recipe appeared in the Sun as the London fog bar, with Nanaimo bar listed as an alternate name.
