Next up for our #TasteofOakland series, we’re partnering with The Kon-Tiki, a tiki bar and restaurant on 14th Street serving fabulous tiki cuisine and drinks that will have you reaching for your Hawaiian shirt. Every other Wednesday, we’ll be celebrating a different cuisine sourced from the rich tapestry of our surrounding neighborhood. This week’s menu includes sweet chili chicken, salad, and steamed rice (vegetarian option is available). For an added treat, Mai Tai’s and ...the signature Kon-Tiki Zombie drinks will also be available. Atlas residents can pick up their meals tomorrow from 6-8PM at the Concierge desk. For our next Employee Spotlight, we spoke to Irene Alvarez, Atlas’ Service Technician, who handles the technical and mechanical work for the building, grounds, amenities and common areas. - With more than twenty years of industry experience, Irene loves walking the property and interacting with her team members, and takes great pride in getting these truly stunning apartments move-in ready for all of Atlas’ new residents. Being able to see Atlas rise from start to finish has... been extremely exciting for Irene. - When she’s not at work, you can find Irene getting her steps in and enjoying all of the attractions at Lake Merritt one of her favorite Oakland spots. Her passion outside of work includes gardening and nature. I grow zucchinis and tomatoes, and planted a flower bed in front of my house. When I meditate in my garden, it’s where I find my peace and serenity. Make sure to wave hello to Irene if you're at the property - she'd love to meet you! See more
