Test Spot for a client on part of a Quartz seam that was ground down to make smooth. This is normal practice on natural stone material, but not on a Quartz slab. And to make things worse, the installer left grind marks. ATLAS Marble & Stone Care can remove the grind marks and come close to a factory finish. Chip repair on Ultra Compact Materials (Porcelain Slabs) like Dekton and Neolith. ATLAS Marble & Stone Care does that. This material is not easy to fabricate. Some inconspicuous areas with chips get missed. ALSO... around sinks, the edges can chip when aggressively washing pots, pans and other stoneware such as porcelain plates. ATLAS fixes chips.

We are nearing the end of exterior stone restoration season as winter quickly approaches. This project had ATLAS replacing all grout and 60 - 24" x 24" Brazilian Multi-color Slate tile on a Driveway and walkway. Hollow sounding tiles were flexing and causing grout concerns.

** HOMEOWNER MAINTENANCE ** SLATE Shower Floor: This SLATE flooring in a shower is always a tricky one for homeowner maintenance. The slate surface can still hold back water from the drain, because, the slate is un-gauged- not flat (a bit textured). As the water evaporates it can leave behind minor mineral deposits (such as salt or other, that is used in many soft-water systems OR soap and shampoo) that can build up on itself after every shower use. ... On slate, you can use vinegar to help remove these mineral deposits. DO NOT USE VINEGAR ON LIMESTONE, TRAVERTINE, OR MARBLE, OR ANY CALCIUM-CARBONATE MATERIAL! But, again it IS safe for SLATE and GRANITE. Use a soft bristled nylon brush with the vinegar to help release the mineral deposits. Then use CRYSTAL CLEAN StonePro to clean and rinse the areas. I prefer Crystal Clean because it has a little sealer in it to help replenish and prolong the life of the sealer. This picture is actually a good sign that the sealer is working to keep the water from penetrating the stone. We don’t want water penetrating the stone and leaving mineral deposits in the stone; as it will start flaking pre-maturely.
