As of this week, it is officially #autumn! With cooler temperatures right around the corner, now is a great time to check that all of your windows are sealed tight. All double- or triple-pane windows should be locked with a tight seal, which traps gas between the individual panes of glass and provides a separation between the temperatures outdoors and within the home. If you’ve noticed recently that your windows are frequently foggy, this may be a sign that the seal is no longer working and needs to be replaced. Making sure these items are clean and put away properly is integral to their longevity, so it is imperative to clean both the equipment and the cases in which they are stored before tucking them away in the shed or garage for the winter months. Allowing machines like weed whackers and lawn mowers to s...it all winter encased in oil and dirt can cause damage to their parts and require expensive maintenance or replacement. In order to prevent this, do a quick check to install new blades and replace air, oil, and gas filters. Change the oil, but don’t drain the gas tank completely!
