This is a copy from the Admin for the Adopt A Senior page- Hi all parents of seniors and adopters!! This group was created to bring some happiness to our SLO COUNTY HS Seniors! These students have worked very hard and now our facing missing out on senior events and activities due to coronavirus pandemic. ... Let's help support these seniors by sending a little surprise letter, card, small gift, snacks, or gift card all budget friendly! Ideally a little something Feb, March, April and May and larger item in June. Senior adopter can choose how and when to send their items and how often, all up to what works for you! INSTRUCTIONS: 1. PARENT: Please post a pic of your senior (make sure your senior is ok with this) and include details about their personality, achievements, school and community involvement and future goals! 2. ADOPTER: Please pick your senior and comment that you'd like to adopt! Then PM your parent immediately to confirm adoption. Adopter must not be a K-12 student & over 18. You can only adopt 1 senior. 3. PARENT: Your post will remain until after an adopter has commented they will be adopting your child! Also, commenting will be turned off once adopter has posted. An "adopted" post will replace yours! 4. ADOPTER: Please ask senior parent for gift ideas, likes or dislikes, store wishlists, etc. Also, please respect parents privacy of personal information! (lists provided under Topics- Fav things checklist) 5.PARENT: Please let adopter know you have received their item and post a pic of your senior with items and name of who to thank (preferably under their adopted pic in album)! That way we all can still celebrate them as well! Please spread the happiness by adopting a senior yourself! 6. ALL: Please share page using link below to your local SLO community pages and invite your FB friends to join as well! Have fun and enjoy making a SLO county Seniors day!! We got this!
