Aloha, my name is Pi. I have an idea to develop a version of a computer chess engine program that ALWAYS ends in a draw with only 2 kings left on the board to demonstrate the computing power necessary to show how literally ANYONE can resolve ANY conflict peacefully with no one "winning." Obviously this chess engine would need to work out the moves necessary in order to force the opponent's king to take the last remaining piece on the board such that there are only 2 kings l...eft on the board. Obviously, the game would need to be managed in such a way that the opponent would feel that the game score is close enough that they would not resign or request a draw in advance. It would also need to look like the game was not being "given away" or that the moves made were not of a player with too low a rating. The idea is to use such a game's algorithms to be applied to an artificially-intelligent computer program where complex decisions could be plotted out to enable 2 or more sides of any conflict to understand literally viable alternative actions to war or some form of attack. Since Stockfish is open source I decided to BEGIN inquiring about their chess engine as a means of accomplishing this ability. Perhaps we could even COMBINE multiple chess engines playing in tandem to help achieve such a "mediation"? Please let me know what everyone thinks. Thanks, - pi - P.S. My point of this exercise is to demonstrate understanding on the part of the opponent or computer and to raise the IQ of the person on the other side of the board to that they can learn that there is ALWAYS an "alternative" to defeating the other person or king. I.Q. BUILDERS: Geek Syndrome by Steve Silberman Jack Robison and Alex Plank of Autism Talk TV sit down with Wired Magazine writer Steve Silberman, author of the article 'The Geek Syndrome' that chronicled the rise of autism in Silicon Valley and the tech industry. * https://youtu.be/CLv5EJxTuQ8 ... The editor of this particular video has Aspergers Syndrome and wanted to summarize what Steve Silberman was saying about his book 'NeuroTribes' to focus upon the information that I found useful to better understanding the concept of 'Neurodiversity' and to remove all of the stuttering, throat-clearing, misspoken words, repetition, unnecessary pauses, ummms, ahhhhs, you-know, and-so, etc. to enhance consistency, coherence, and clarity-of-thought. The book, NeuroTribes: The Legacy of Autism and the Future of Neurodiversity, is beautifully told, humanizing, and important. The Boston Globe called it "as emotionally resonant as any book this year," and in Science, the cognitive neuroscientist Francesca Happé wrote, "It is a beautifully written and thoughtfully crafted book, a historical tour of autism, richly populated with fascinating and engaging characters, and a rallying call to respect difference." It was named one of the best books of 2015 by The New York Times, The Economist, Financial Times, and The Guardian.
