My Kitchen!!! Definitely the kitchen! That is the one room in my house that I wish was larger. You all know I'm a baker and my kitchen is a little too tight! Where could you use more space???

HERE'S THE STORY of how I bought MY FIRST HOME One of my biggest goals was to be a homeowner in my 20s. Investing in real estate was something I thought about often (dreamed about, really). One of the perks of working in construction management was learning the many ways and options to becoming a homeowner. I got to watch (and help) families build custom homes they envisioned, remodel homes to fit their needs and rehab homes that needed a second life I was 24 when ...I tried to buy my first home. My husband (then fiance) was stationed in North Carolina at the time. I found a 3 bed/2 bath in Biggs for $76,000. Yes... $76,000! It was in good shape, it just needed some paint and a little flooring. I talked to my husband and he was on board! We submitted our info & docs to our lender for the loan. We were denied What I didn't know was that my husband didn't have a credit score. He didn't have bad credit, he just didn't have any at all. He had always paid cash for every purchase and never had a credit account of any sort. Needless to say, we lost our chance at the $76k house in the perfect neighborhood After my husband got home from the Army we worked on getting a credit score for him and worked on raising mine We made a move into a TINY mobile home to save up money (I'm talking a 380 square foot mobile home). We stayed there for 2 & 1/2 years. One day we received a flyer/application in the mail for a program to build our own home We took a chance and were APPROVED. About 6 months later we were building our first home. It was a difficult process. It's definitely not for everybody, but it was God's plan for us and we are so thankful to have had the opportunity. It's not how we planned to buy our first home, but it was worth all the hard work. And I got to purchase my first home while in my 20s! Would anyone else buy a home solely based on what your dog would like? Just me??? Lady Belle needs a nice big yard, easy doggy door access, a single level home, a space for her crate, hard floors...
